Confidentiality

How CC Resume protects the career information, documents and job-search plans clients share with us.

This Confidentiality statement explains how CC Resume, part of Career Calling International and CAQA Groups, protects the personal and career information you share with us. Preparing application documents requires trust: clients tell us about their employment history, salaries, workplace circumstances, career setbacks and ambitions, and they often do so while still employed. Career Calling International Pty Ltd (ABN 53 162 651 238) treats that information as confidential from the first enquiry, whether or not you go on to purchase a service.

1. What we treat as confidential

We treat as confidential all information you provide through this website or during an engagement, including: your identity and contact details; the fact that you are looking for work or considering a move; your current and past employment details, salary and remuneration information; qualifications and training records; referee names and contact details; documents you submit for the free review; intake questionnaire responses and interview notes; and every draft and final document we prepare for you.

2. Who can access your information

Access is limited to the CC Resume writers and support staff who need it to deliver your service. Our team members are bound by confidentiality obligations in their engagement terms. We do not give employers, recruiters or any external party access to your information or documents unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

3. Job searches are discreet by default

Many clients engage us while employed. We will never contact your current employer, your colleagues or your referees, and we will not announce or imply to anyone that you are seeking work. If a service involves outreach on your behalf - for example, coordination with a recruiter through a related Career Calling service - it happens only with your explicit, prior consent about who may be contacted and what may be shared.

4. No sharing across the CAQA Groups family without consent

CC Resume operates within Career Calling International and CAQA Groups, which include recruitment, coaching and education brands. Your career information is not passed to other brands in the family for marketing or placement purposes without your consent. If you would benefit from a related service, such as career coaching through CC Coach or vacancies through CC Jobs, we will suggest it to you and let you decide - we will not hand your file across.

5. Samples and marketing

We do not publish client documents, before-and-after examples or testimonials that identify you without your written permission. Where samples are used to illustrate our work, they are de-identified so that names, employers, locations and any distinctive details are removed or altered.

6. Storage, retention and deletion

Documents and intake information are stored on access-controlled systems used by Career Calling International Pty Ltd. We retain completed engagement files so that returning clients can update documents without starting again, and to meet our record-keeping obligations. You may ask us at any time to delete the documents and personal information we hold about you, and we will do so except where a legal obligation requires retention. Details of how personal information is handled, corrected and accessed are in our Privacy Policy.

7. Your obligations to third parties

Confidentiality runs both ways. Please do not send us material you are not authorised to share - for example, your current employer's confidential documents, client lists, internal reports or anything covered by a workplace confidentiality agreement. Achievements can be described in your documents without disclosing protected material, and our writers will help you phrase them that way.

8. When disclosure is required

We may disclose information where the law compels it - for example, under a court order or a lawful request by a regulator or law enforcement agency - or where disclosure is necessary to prevent a serious threat to life, health or safety. Where the law allows, we will tell you before or as soon as practicable after such a disclosure.

9. Questions and concerns

No payment details are collected through this website, and fees are invoiced separately after a written quote, so this statement is concerned with your career information rather than payment data. If you have any question about how your information is protected, or if you believe confidentiality has not been maintained, contact us at info@caqa.com.au, by phone on 1800 266 160, or through our contact page. Concerns are acknowledged within two business days and investigated promptly.
