How draft reviews and revisions work for CC Resume documents - included rounds, timeframes, client responsibilities and what counts as new work.
This Revision Policy explains how draft reviews and revisions work for documents prepared by CC Resume, part of Career Calling International and CAQA Groups. It applies to resumes, cover letters, selection criteria responses, LinkedIn profile content, executive documents and any other application documents prepared for you by Career Calling International Pty Ltd (ABN 53 162 651 238) through this website. Our aim is simple: you should be confident sending your documents to employers, and revisions are how we get there together.
Every standard CC Resume engagement includes two rounds of revisions per document at no additional cost. A revision round means one consolidated set of change requests provided by you after reviewing a draft, which we then apply and return as an updated draft. Express and review services include one round of revisions, reflecting their shorter turnaround and lower fee. The number of included rounds for your engagement is confirmed in your written quote before any paid work begins.
Revision requests must be made within 14 days of the date we deliver a draft to you (7 days for express services). If we have not heard from you within that period, the engagement is treated as complete and the most recent draft becomes the final document. If something outside your control prevents you from reviewing a draft in time - illness, travel or an urgent application deadline elsewhere - tell us before the window closes and we will agree a reasonable extension.
A revision is an adjustment to a document prepared under the agreed scope: correcting details, rewording sections, reordering content, adjusting emphasis for the agreed target role, tightening length or refining formatting. To make the most of your included rounds, we ask that you consolidate your feedback into a single list per round rather than sending changes one at a time.
Some requests are new work rather than a revision, because they change the brief the document was written to. These include: retargeting a document at a different role, industry or seniority level from the one agreed at the start of the engagement; adding new positions, projects or qualifications that were not provided during the intake process; converting a document into a different format or type (for example, turning a resume into a selection criteria response); and further rounds after your included revisions have been used. We will always tell you before any additional fee applies, and we will provide a written quote for the extra work so you can decide whether to proceed. No payment for additional work is ever taken through this website; it is quoted and invoiced in the same way as your original engagement.
Application documents are engineered for a specific target. A resume aimed at a compliance manager role reads very differently from one aimed at a training coordinator role, even for the same person. If you change your target role after drafting has begun, we will complete the current document to the original brief and quote separately for the retargeted version, usually at a reduced rate because your source material is already prepared. Rewriting to a new target is not covered by included revision rounds.
Revisions work when the source information is right. You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and honest information about your employment history, qualifications, achievements and referees during intake, and for checking each draft carefully - especially dates, names, titles and contact details. We prepare documents from what you tell us and do not independently verify your career history. If inaccurate information you supplied needs to be corrected later, that correction uses a revision round.
If we introduce an error - a typographical mistake, a formatting fault, or a detail transcribed incorrectly from the information you gave us - we will correct it at no cost and without using one of your revision rounds, at any time, even after the engagement has closed.
Send your consolidated feedback by reply to the email that delivered your draft, or contact us at info@caqa.com.au, by phone on 1800 266 160, or through our contact page. We acknowledge revision requests within two business days and confirm the return date for your updated draft when we do. If you believe a revision has not resolved a problem with the service, our Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the remedies available, and nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
